OceanGrid’s vertical mooring systems have the same footprint as the floater through the water column and seabed. This opens up the ocean space for marine life and allows the 1000 Km²+ wind farms to be true multiuse and multi-industry marine areas supporting both known and today unknown industries through the lifetime of a wind park.
OceanGrid strongly believes that vertical mooring systems, compared to catenary mooring systems, will be the blueprint for solving known and unknown issues related to coexistence with marine life in a sustainable way that can withstand the test of time.
